I, Eda Daphne King, Assistant mistress, C.A. No 66%, certify that Mr. M. Harris Evans M.A (Oxon) was on the staff of the 75th Divisional Education Centre (Egyptian Expeditionary Force), of which I was the head, from Xmas 1918 to March 1920. During that time Mr. Evans taught History, English, and Geography. He was my first assistant and took most of the matriculation classes. We did not touch Chemistry etc. at the school.

I have no hesitation in speaking of Mr. Evans' excellent teaching ability. This is shown by the fact that at my examination, more certificates were gained in History than in all other subjects taken by the students. He has a most excellent method of teaching History in its broadest aspect and is equally capable in other subjects.

In addition to this, he lectured for the E.E.F. on various subjects.

Stamford House, June 28th 1921.
